So many of our team members have decades of professional experience in retirement living. Executive Director of The Village at Penn State, Ellen Corbin, has been working with our community for over 17 years and has over 30 years of healthcare experience. Ellen holds a Bachelor’s of Nursing and a Master’s of Health Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. Ellen also earned a Graduate Certificate in Long Term Care Management and is a Certified Educator in Nurse Aid Training. Ellen is a Licensed Registered Nurse, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and Personal Care Home Administrator in the state of Pennsylvania.
Director of Sales and Marketing, Alanna Parsons, enjoys making personal connections with residents and families. As she helps potential new residents discover the joy and excitement of living at The Village, she feels especially rewarded to see them achieve fulfilling lifestyles after moving in. Alanna has been working with The Village for over eight years and she looks forward to continue developing relationships with the people who call The Village home.
Director of Resident Services, Kim McGinnis, has over 25 years of experience in retirement living. As she organizes engaging activities and events for residents at The Village, she finds great reward in developing meaningful connections and providing an outstanding living experience. With a background in social work and individual and family studies, Kim finds motivation in building relationships and helping residents discover all that The Village has to offer.
Director of Nursing, Michelle Gorin, has been with The Village since 2004. With over 15 years of nursing experience, and a history in long-term care, she says residents and team members at The Village are like family. As her nursing career has progressed throughout the years, Michelle has attained numerous certifications including her achievement as a Certified Infection Preventionist for long-term care. Fulfilling her role with positivity and motivation, Michelle ensures that at The Village both residents and colleagues feel empowered each day.
The Village’s Health Center Administrator, Amy Comstock, has over 30 years of professional experience in retirement living. Beginning her career as a registered nurse, Amy has earned certifications as a Nursing Home Administrator and Dementia Practitioner. Developing close relationships with residents, and providing encouragement and motivation for her team, Amy feels comfort in knowing that the people at The Village are like family.
Registered Nurse and Wellness Program Coordinator, Jamie Hayward, feels great reward in uplifting the well-being of residents each day. With over 10 years of experience at The Village, she says the community’s residents have become part of her family. Enjoying the balance and flexibility of her role, Jamie greatly enjoys creating close connections with the people who call The Village home.
Director of Facilities, Gary Dolan, has been working with The Village for 18 years. As he has helped create a foundation for The Village’s commitment to outstanding service, he enjoys collaborating with his fellow team members who have become extended family throughout the years. With a background in Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare Environmental Services, Gary finds great reward in taking on new challenges and going above and beyond to ensure happiness for residents at The Village.
Director of Dining Services, Duane Leitzell, has been with the Village for 18 years. As Duane works with his culinary team, they ensure five-star quality meals for an outstanding dining experience every single day. With certifications in dietary management as well as food protection, Duane has an extensive knowledge of food, nutrition, and safety. What Duane enjoys most about his role is bringing joy to residents with a delicious meal.
